On January 25, 2025, the Els Pallaresos Judo Club was the scene of a memorable event: a stage given by the outstanding Paralympic judoka Marta Arce . During this day, in addition to sharing her knowledge and experience on the tatami, Marta presented an exclusive item of clothing created in collaboration with dojo.style, merging fashion and inclusive judo in an innovative way.
Who is Marta Arce?
Marta Arce Payno is an elite Spanish judoka, born in Valladolid. Throughout her career, she has participated in five Paralympic Games, obtaining four medals, including a bronze at the Paris 2024 Games in the -57 kg J2 category. In addition to her sporting career, Marta is a physiotherapist, coach and speaker, standing out for her work in motivating and training new generations. More about Marta here .
Values that it represents
Marta personifies perseverance, overcoming and passion for judo. Her career is an example of how to face and overcome obstacles, inspiring many on and off the tatami. In judo, the principle of jita kyoei (mutual benefit) is fundamental, and their philosophy reminds us that no one should be left behind. For dojo.style, collaborating with Marta means aligning the brand with these core values, promoting a philosophy that transcends fashion and delves into the spirit of inclusive judo.
The inclusive garment: more than just a sweatshirt
One of the most special moments of the event was the presentation of the garment created in collaboration with Marta Arce. This sweatshirt has been designed with a totally inclusive approach, incorporating embossed screen printing with Braille so that blind judokas can read it. With this initiative, dojo.style and Marta seek to give visibility and support to these minority but fundamental judokas for our community, reinforcing the importance of inclusion in sport.
The sweatshirt will soon be available in two colours in both men's and women's sizes and a portion of the proceeds will go towards supporting inclusive judo, reaffirming dojo.style's commitment to accessibility and mutual benefit in sport.
An event supported by great references
The stage, lovingly organised by the Els Pallaresos Judo Club, led by Andrés Gillén, in the Tarragona town of Els Pallaresos, was attended by various authorities who wanted to show their support for inclusive judo. Among them, the Ajuntament dels Pallaresos , Rafaela Pérez Romero, 1st Vice-President of the ONCE Territorial Council, and the Catalan Judo Federation , represented by its president, Fermín Parra. Their presence underlines the importance of initiatives such as this for the development and visibility of adapted judo.
This event not only strengthened the local judo community, but also highlighted the importance of collaboration between sport and fashion to convey messages of self-improvement, inclusion and passion. At dojo.style, we will continue to support projects that represent the values of judo and promote a sport that is accessible to all.
